Gregory Endicott thinks he has the perfect life
until he begins to suspect his dead
brother, Joshua, is still alive. Greg’s search
for Josh leads him to a dark family secret that
forever changes his life and the lives of all
those who care for him.
Joshua Calling is the product of two young
filmmakers who challenged themselves to make
a dramatic feature film on a next-to-nothing
budget. Drawing upon the
growing filmmaking community in Florida,
Joshua Calling's producers set out to prove you don’t need lots of money or a
studio to make an intelligent and thought
provoking film.
Truly independent cinema allows for unique
stories and original characters that would
otherwise be carbon-copied and thrown through
the grinder of a studio system. Without the
pressures of a large budget and a chain of
executives, the filmmakers were free to tell an
original story with a perspective and style all
its own.
"These are filmmakers who treat audiences
with respect and give them the chance to
figure things out for themselves; allowing,
even expecting them to make their own
judgments."
